I have been thinking a lot lately about people and lessons learned through our trials. Here are some of the lessons learned lately.
1. Never take what you HAVE for granted. Take a moment each and every day to look around and not think about all the things you want/need/or don't have but think of all the things you do have. Family, Friends, a roof over your head, enough money to make it till tomorrow, enough food to be able to eat and not starve, Running water, Something to keep you busy, or time to relax. Find something in your life that is a blessing and if you can find nothing else be grateful to be alive and to see the wonders around you each day.
2. Love like you won't see them tomorrow. Cancer is running rampant, fear is every wear, and our world is speeding up every day and causing more danger. We never know how long a life we will have or how much time we will have with our loved ones. Live each day to let your family and friends know how much you love them. The three words "I love you" never get worn out or old, so say them as often as possible, and mean it every time you say it.
3. Money is just money use what you need and share the rest. Now I am not saying that you should give excess money to anyone and everyone. I am saying that when you have a friend or family member in need of help and you decide to lend them money don't give it to them expecting it back. When you lend money just give it and if they ever pay you back look at it as a bonus, not as a pay back. It will make your friendships much less stressed. Do the same with favors, don't keep track just do what you can.
4. Keep as few secrets as possible. The world is so much lighter when your not walking on egg shells trying to keep things hidden from others.
5. It's ok if the house gets messy. If it means you spent time with your children, friends, or loved ones, the house is allowed to get messy.
6. Put the computer/phone/tv down. These things are time wasters. Do what you need to and then turn it off and play with your kids/pets or get out of thee house and do something. A phone call or text in the car is not worth your life or some one else's. if the phone rings and you have to answer it, pull over or call back later, same goes for a text.
7. Take lunch to your friend/significant other. One of my favorite things to do is take lunch to James. It gets you out you get to see your friend and it will put a smile on both your faces... Just make sure they know your coming lol
8. Talk to those who have passed on, they can hear you. I don't know how many time within my prayers I have not only spoke to my father in heaven but also to loved ones who have passed on and felt like they where there with me. Very comforting.
I know there are more but right now I am going to follow my own advice and #6 myself! Enjoy your day!
