Saturday

Saturday morning we where blessed again by being able to attend the balloon Fiesta. I was up at 4:30am fixing breakfast (and lunch just in case we stayed longer). I woke James at 5:30 and Brynlee got up just before he did. We left at 6am with coffee/hot chocolate and breakfast burritos in hand! we should have missed dawn patrol but for some reason they got delayed and we arrived just before they lifted off.

The sunrise with balloons was so beautiful, the wind was blowing the balloons back toward the mountains that the sun rises over. It made for some great shots!

And this is where my camera died :( After this we went and got Brynlee a pin for this year, then spotted Brynlee's friends with the smokey the bear balloon and had to go say hi. Then we went and said hi to the horses with search and rescue and got their pin. then it was off to our friends to warm up, eat a snack or two, visit, then head home.

On the way home Brynlee crashed! She slept for 2 hours! James went out and bought new front breaks and then we all went out side bundled up and helped Daddy change his front brakes. then it was back inside for lunch and to warm up. James went and did some school stuff. When he came home we made an amazing dinner of chicken, real mashed potatoes, and an apple/pear topping! we ate and watched 'lilo & stitch' while James worked on home work. We where invited to come to the last balloon glow but decided it was best to stay home and go to bed as soon as the scary fireworks where over. (yes we can hear them from our house and yes with out the pretty colors the noise scares Brynlee. When the first one off you should have seen her horrified face, and heard her terrified sequel as she ran from the living room to the kitchen and wrapped herself around daddy's legs.)
