Pumpkin Carving

So yesterday when we picked up the kids from school Brynlee got to climb a tree for the first time! She loved it! She needed a little help because she wasn't quite tall enough yet but Mommy was happy to oblige. Then after dinner we carved our pumpkin!!! This year Brynlee was ready! James asked her when we started if it was okay to cut the pumpkin, Brynlee just watched him and the pumpkin intently and James had to ask again. She replied that it was okay to cut the pumpkin so he cut out the lid. Then we all dug in, including Brynlee!!!

She took out quiet a few hand fulls of pumpkin guts before she decided she didn't like the slimy feeling on her hand and needed it wiped off.

When we finally got it clean and decided on a design James broke out the power tools lol (okay just the drill to make the cutting easier.)

If you can't tell what it is it is clouds moving across the moon and a wolf howling at it. Not great but not terrible either considering we didn't get a pumpkin carving kit or a stencil, it's free hand...

We had a lot of fun and when we lit the candle Brynlee sang happy birthday and blew it out. She does that with every flame she sees now including the flames from the grill. The only flames she doesn't do it to are burners for hot air balloons, she just says those are "Hot, Hot, Hot!"
