Santa & James' Birthday

Saturday night was the ward Christmas party. Brynlee made friends with a little boy named James who really took a liking to her!

Then Santa came in and passed by on his way to his work shop! Brynlee told me as he passed that she wanted to go see Santa and when he left the room she was very concerned and I told her it was okay that he'd be back, she then informed me "It's okay mommy, Santa bathroom. Be right back!"

We went to Santa's workshop and made a small bead wreath then got in line to see Santa. Brynlee told me all the way to the door that she was going to sit on Santa's lap. When we got there though she hung on a little tighter, after getting her candy cane she sat quietly on Santa's lap for a picture and told him thank you on our way out the door.

To back track a little....Thursday was James Birthday and we celebrated by first making biscuts and gravy with bacon for breakfast then having friends over for a steak dinner with grilled vegetables and pie for desert. James' present from Brynlee and me was the MW3 game for the PS3,

which he was allowed to open on Dec 1st to help keep him occupied while he recovered from surgery.

Sunday we went to church and I made James a cake for his birthday party that night. It was a 2 layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
I designed the top from this coin....

And again when I had to repair after the blue frosting.... spread out

For James Birthday he got some money, some cards, a 2 month game fly trial, and a new radio for his jeep :(
After everyone left while mom and dad where ready and waiting to go Brynlee played and sang jingle bells on the piano with Mamaw it was pretty cute!
